Located on a peaceful hilltop in the beautiful Terra Linda section of San Rafael, the Skyview Terrace Nonprofit Center is a dedicated space offering special lease rates to nonprofits located within Marin County. The 14,400 sq. ft. campus houses several local community agencies, serving over 400 youth, seniors and families throughout the county, and creating a positive impact in our community.
MARINSPACE has owned and operated our Skyview Terrace Nonprofit Center for more than 20 years. Since opening its doors in 1998 this building has successfully and cost effectively provided stable, affordable, mission enhancing space to many different nonprofits. Some of our past tenants have included: Easter Seals, Marin Council of Agencies, APPLE Family Works, Full Circle Programs, DrawBridge, United Way and many others.
MARINSPACE, as a mission-driven social enterprise, not only supports its tenants with affordable rents, but also provides a variety of wrap-around programs and services. These services have included social gatherings to promote cross-organizational relationships, program partnerships on initiatives such as edible gardens and shared outdoor space, and training and support for operational needs such as temporary storage, emergency preparedness planning, and green business certification.
Strategically financed through a combination of major gifts, low cost debt, and cash from the sale of part of the parcel to a housing developer, the campus continues to provide affordable, below-market rents to tenants as well as operating income for MARINSPACE.
